Taylor Knox's Morning Smoothie
Jun 18, 2022
Professional surfer and Mikuna brand Ambassador Taylor Knox powers his surf sessions with a delicious smoothie packed with blueberries, honey, bee pollen, and of course, Mikuna!
Ingredients (Serves 1)
- Mikuna Vanilla Chocho: 1/3 cup (about 3 tbsp, ~20–25g protein)
- Organic frozen blueberries: 1 cup
- Organic bee pollen: 1 tsp
- Organic honey: 1 tbsp (adjust to taste)
- Organic coconut cream: 1/4 cup (for rich creaminess)
- Organic almond milk: 1/2 cup (to adjust consistency)
- Ice cubes: 1/2 cup (optional, for a colder smoothie)
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Measure out organic frozen blueberries and ensure organic coconut cream is well-stirred for smooth blending.
- Blend the Base: In a high-speed blender, combine the Mikuna Vanilla Chocho, organic frozen blueberries, organic bee pollen, organic honey, organic coconut cream, and organic almond milk. Blend on medium-high speed for 30–45 seconds until smooth and creamy.
- Adjust Consistency: If the smoothie is too thick, add more organic almond milk, 1 tbsp at a time, and blend briefly until it reaches a smooth, drinkable consistency. Add ice cubes and blend again if a colder, thicker texture is desired.
- Serve: Pour the smoothie into a glass.
- Garnish: Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of organic bee pollen or a few organic blueberries on top for visual appeal.
- Enjoy: Sip immediately for a refreshing, protein-packed smoothie to power your day!
Tips
- For a lighter texture, reduce organic coconut cream to 2 tbsp and increase organic almond milk to 3/4 cup.
- Swap organic honey for organic maple syrup for a different sweetness profile.
- If allergic to bee pollen, substitute with a pinch of organic chia seeds for added nutrition.
- Store any leftover smoothie in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours; shake or blend before serving.
