Mikuna Chocho Plant Protein is classified as a non-isolate because it is a whole-food protein powder derived from a single ingredient—chocho (a type of lupin legume)—without undergoing the extensive processing typically used to create protein isolates. Unlike protein isolates, which are heavily processed to strip away non-protein components (like fiber, fats, and carbohydrates) to concentrate the protein, Mikuna Chocho is made by simply grinding chocho into a powder.
